There are no silly questions; your comfort and clarity matter here.

General

What can I expect in my first session?
In your first session, we’ll take time to explore what’s bringing you here, go over your intake form, and begin to understand your needs and goals. There’s no pressure—we go at your pace.

Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed. You can book directly through my website.

How long are the sessions?

Initial sessions are 90 minutes, and ongoing sessions usually run 50–60 minutes.  Equine and nature-based sessions may vary slightly.  Each booking includes session preparation and record-keeping time, so you can feel confident that the fee reflects the full care and attention given to your therapy.

How much does it cost?
Please see the [Bookings Fees] page for current pricing.

Can I claim through Medicare or private health?
At this time, sessions are not claimable through Medicare. Some private health funds may offer rebates—please check with your provider.

Equine-assisted Psychotherapy

Equine-assisted psychotherapy uses the wisdom and presence of horses to support emotional awareness and regulation. No horse experience is required—all interactions are on the ground, guided by your comfort, safety, and choice.

Do I need horse experience?
Not at all. No horse experience is required. All interactions are on the ground and based on comfort, safety, and choice.

What happens in an equine-assisted session?
You’ll work alongside a therapist and a horse in a gentle, mindful setting. The horse responds to your nervous system and presence, offering a unique opportunity for insight and healing.

Is riding involved?
No. All equine-assisted psychotherapy sessions are non-riding and focus on relationship, regulation, and awareness.

What if I'm nervous around horses?
That’s okay. We’ll work slowly and gently. You’re always in control of how close you get and what you engage with.

Where are the sessions held?
Sessions take place on a private rural property near [Your Location]. Directions are provided upon booking.

What kind of issues do you work with?

I work with trauma, anxiety, PTSD, complex PTSD, grief, relationship challenges, and neurodivergence (such as ADHD and Autism).

"I have experience working with diverse groups, including Australian veterans in immersive equine-assisted programs focused on trust and trauma recovery, and with Bravehearts, supporting survivors of childhood sexual abuse with deep respect and trauma-informed care. These experiences continue to shape my commitment to creating safe, empowering therapeutic spaces."

Nature Based Therapy

What is nature-based therapy?

Nature-based therapy invites us outdoors—walking, sitting, or reflecting in nature—where the calming rhythms of the natural world can support nervous system regulation, grounding, and healing."

What if the weather is bad?
If weather conditions are unsafe or uncomfortable, we will reschedule or move the session to a more sheltered setting if possible.

It draws on the calming and grounding qualities of nature to support your healing.

What if I don’t know where to start?

That’s completely okay. Many people feel unsure at first. My role is to help you feel safe, supported, and gently explore what’s present.

What happens if I feel overwhelmed?
Your pace and consent are central. If you feel overwhelmed, we pause, breathe, and resource. There’s no “right” way to be here.
